The Futian market in Yiwu is not a building you browse. It is tens of thousands of booths arranged over multiple districts and floors, each booth a shopfront for a supplier, each street of booths its own small trade. When you visit, we plan the route before you arrive. Your product list decides which districts and which floors matter, and in what order, so your energy is spent in front of relevant booths rather than in corridors. At the booth, our agent runs the conversation: prices, minimums per design, carton quantities, production versus stock, delivery dates. You concentrate on the goods in your hands.
Two things we do at every booth that visitors on their own tend to skip. We record it: booth number, seller’s card, photos of the items and prices discussed. And we ask who actually makes the product, because a booth can be a factory’s counter or a reseller’s, and the answer changes both the price floor and how a problem gets fixed later. Working the market without you
Most weeks we are in the market for clients who are not in China at all. That work takes a few shapes:
- A search brief: you describe a product, we come back with photos, prices and booth details for the candidates worth considering.
- A price check: you have a quote, from Yiwu or anywhere, and want to know what the market level really is for that item and quality.
- A category survey: you are entering a product area and want a picture of what exists, at what price bands, before committing to anything.
- Sample collection: we gather samples from shortlisted booths and send them to you in one parcel.
This is the core of a Yiwu market buying service done remotely. It is unglamorous legwork, and it is exactly the work that cannot be done from a laptop in another country.
From booth to shipment
A market order does not end at the booth. Suppliers deliver to our warehouse, where we check what arrived against what was ordered, chase the stragglers, and consolidate dozens of small purchases into one shipment. How many days do I need in the market?
For a focused list, one to two days of walking often covers it, with more time for samples and orders. Broad ranges take longer. Send your list and we will estimate honestly.
Is the market open when I plan to come?
The market keeps regular daytime hours most of the year but closes around Chinese holidays, most notably Chinese New Year, when suppliers also stop production. Check dates with us before booking flights.
Can I buy from the market without minimums?
Minimums exist at most booths, usually per design or per carton, and they vary widely. Small mixed quantities are often workable across many booths; single pieces mostly are not.
Do you charge for market days if I buy nothing?
Our commission model is built on orders, so tell us your situation before the visit and we will agree terms for accompaniment up front. No surprises either way.
Can you check a booth I found on a video or livestream?
Yes. Give us the booth details or the footage and we will visit, verify the goods and prices in person, and report back before you send anyone money.
